My last personal in-depth body appreciation post was almost a year ago. A little over ten months, to be exact.
Many things about my body have changed since then. I’ve gained some things, lost some things, and noticed new things about my body that I hadn’t before. My views of myself and my body have also adjusted with time.

Over the year, my body has obtained more scars, fat, ink, and sexual experiences. It has also obtained more body hair.
Some things that i’ve lost are muscle, smooth surfaces, and shame.

Some things I noticed about my body that I didn’t see ten months ago are as follows:

  • A birth mark in the shape of a cross rests on my shoulder
  • A surgical scar on my abdomen is fading away
  • Here’s a fun one: the top of my butt crack is crooked!!!
  • The characteristics on the left side of my body are more developed than on the right; I have a larger left breast with a perkier nipple, a more pronounced left nostril, a fuller left half of my upper lip, and a slightly wider left eye.

Today I’m celebrating all these changes and unique features of my body. To quote my original body-appreciation post, “Everyone should love their bodies…even if it’s just for a day. We all should take the time to wrap our arms around ourselves, feel the uneven parts of our skin, pinch the extra fluff we may have, and trace all the curves that shape us. “

What do you see when you look in the mirror or down your shirt? Are there breasts? Do you have any body hair? Count your curves, how many do you have? Find a story for every scar. Celebrate this body; this suit that dresses your soul so well.

Watching QI, just found out that the creator of Wonder Woman was polyamorous. And I looked it up on wikipedia, and apparently Wonder Woman was based on both his wife and his other partner. Not sure if it was a poly V or a triad polyship (I mean,…
